The British foreign secretary hopes the UK and the Caribbean will benefit from their long-term relationship.

British minister James Cleverley said Jamaica and the Caribbean had had a significant influence on the UK for "hundreds of years" and all the benefits were due to their relationship. He was speaking at the opening of the 11th United Kingdom (UK)-Caribbean Ministerial Forum at the Jamaica Pegasus Hotel in Kingston on Thursday. It is understood that the Caribbean has a close relationship with the United Kingdom.
